The discussion during the trauma-informed teaching session today made me really think about some of my students and want to learn more about why they show up the way they do in my classes. I am committed to adopt a trauma-informed approach to see them as whole human beings beyond their seemingly less disciplined actions.
The most important useful information for me was hearing different policies that can be implemented to reflect a trauma-informed perspective without compromising equity and how to set good boundaries. Thank you so much!
This presentation helped me consider more about how trauma impacts students’ experience in the classroom - so helpful!
Learning the trauma informed principles has left me reflecting on how I can take this back to my work and use in the classroom.
I realized during the presentation that our discussion on trauma informed care is just the tip of the iceberg and we have more work to do.
Powerful presentation - we need more opportunities for discussion and action
